Brother Kee, a creative professional with more than 15 years of experience in visual design and digital marketing, answered the City’s call for original banner flag designs commemorating Juneteenth and the nation’s upcoming semi-quincentennial celebration. His powerful submission was selected for public display, highlighting the significance of freedom, resilience, and historical reflection.
Speaking about the inspiration behind his work, Brother Kee stated:
“Juneteenth serves as a reminder that liberty is rarely granted instantly; it is often won through the relentless, unyielding persistence of those who believe in it. My banner is a representation of persistence.”
